Thanks so much, Reg & Helen, for the opportunity to enjoy the comforts of Eckhart House. What a transformation to the place since our last visit two summers ago. We enjoyed sharing the house w/ Richard and Kristin and the kids for a few days. The beach was great, the waves were fun and the sun deceptively hot (I think we all got varying degrees of burn). We enjoyed playing tourist in Picton as well as sampling some Ontario wines. Liz was a great hostess and went out of her way to see we were looked after. You have made this a truly memorable holiday of our family.
Grace & Peace,
James & Anne, Kathryn, Simone & Camille Evans
PS. I watched the All-Star game –at least the 1st 6 innings – in the hope of catching a fan shot of the two of you – no such luck.
Reg & Helly,
A million thanks for sharing this lovely place with us! It has added a new dimension to our trip to Kingston… the beach was fantastic and brought back lots of memories. Looking forward to seeing you on the weekend & to spending time at the cottage next week.
Much love,
Anne
PS. Loved watching the baby swallows in the nest under the porch eaves.
Dearest Reg & Helly,
This has definitely been a vacation to remember & never could’ve happened without your incredible generosity! This house is absolutely gorgeous & the beach is amazing. Can’t wait to see you this weekend & be able to thank you in person – being here has made the trip truly fabulous!
xoxo
Kathryn

Plus-forty years of friendship, and I can think of no better place to celebrate it… it really doesn’t get any better than this. The house stands as a testament to your creative genius, dear Reg. And while we may not have had much sunshine, the Eckheart helped us generate our own. Many thanks for your copious generosity, Reg & Helen… one for the record books, indeed! – A magical time.

Dear Helen & Reg,
Had a fabulous get-together to celebrate Mimi’s mother who is turning 90. They came from Montreal and our son from Philadelphia. Our daughter also came from Montreal. We’ve enjoyed your beautiful house, touring and appreciating all the decoration, antiques, art and the colours on the wall, especially the kitchen. You’ve done an incredible job!
Everybody enjoyed Sandbanks, as well as the garden.
Thank you so much!

Some great suggestions:

-Coffee at the Cuban place in Picton
-Dinner parties every night
-Picking basil and rosemary in the garden
-Norman Hardy winery
The kitchen was a pleasure to be in. Love your flare and good taste.

GPG (Graham Park Girls) Reunion Weekend 2008
Beautiful fall weather! The GPG (minus Cheryl Nash, who couldn’t make it this year) enjoyed a long walk on the Dunes on Sat. Saw a deer, a few frogs, a few snakes, a praying mantis, geese, & a beaver! And that was just in the first few minutes! Great dinner, wine, music, company, and conversation until the wee hours. Much laughter was shared, much food was eaten (yummy Eggs Benedict by Judy Sunday morning!)
Thank you,
Joan Gardner, Amy Gourley,
Nikki Almard, Jude White,
& Jaine Thompson
