The Abstract Art House by the BayModern meets Extravagance at the Abstract Art House by the Bay, a spacious, newly renovated luxury home on the most desirable street in downtown Picton. Enjoy the spectacular panoramic view of Picton Bay as well as the County’s finest restaurants, wineries, parks, shops and boutiques in a high-end setting.
An open-concept kitchen, dining room and living room areas provide an exquisite panoramic view of the Picton Bay. The kitchen with its modern appliances dishes, glass-ware, utensils, and matching granite floor and kitchen counter top makes it perfect work-space to create gourmet-inspired meals. The dining room overlooks the living room, divided by a tempered glass railing providing a visually seamless separation. The 8’ dining table is one of a kind designed by artist Dan Couvrette and is made of reclaimed wood on a custom made steel stand. The large crystal chandelier overhead provides a sparkling setting for group entertaining or intimate soirees. For those wishing to dine alfresco, there is a patio door off the dining area to walk out onto a deck and a 14’ enclosed porch facing the lake at the front of the house. Heat up the BBQ and enjoy the grilled County harvest on teak patio furniture overlooking the lake and landscaped garden with drift wood and river rocks.
The adjoining living room with a 12’ ceiling, and relax on couches and chairs looking warmed by the golden glow of the fireplace with a white marble mantel. It is a perfect setting for entertaining guests as well as a casual venue with its 50” LCD cable TV, DVD, VCR and big stereo-system. The Abstract Art House by the Bays attractive qualities extend outside, walk out from the living room through the sliding doors to sit in a lounge chair and gaze at the magnificent water view.
On the second floor are 3 private bedrooms; one over sized master bedroom of 20’ x 15’ with a King size bed, walk-in closet and an en-suite 4 piece bathroom with glass sliding doors that walk out to the enclosed sun room; another master-sized bedroom with a Queen bed and another oversized bedroom with 2 Single beds, a large TV with a couch and sliding glass doors that also walk out to the enclosed sun room. Sleep in slendor on quality beds and linens and wake up to the view of the lake and the sound of birds.
The fully enclosed sun room on the second floor has 6 screened windows facing the lake allows you to enjoy the outdoor feeling come rain or shine It is a great place to have your morning coffee or evening conversations.
There are two bathrooms, one is a 3-piece bathroom located on the main floor, the other, a 4-piece with a free-standing tub. Both bathroom feature body jets in the glass enclosed showers. Quality towels and toiletries are provided.
During the summer season, enjoy the cool breezes off the Picton Bay, and for still nights there are ceiling fans in all rooms for your added comfort.
The Abstract Art House by the Bay is centrally located for you to explore the stunning landscapes of Prince Edward County and Eastern Ontario, its shops, local produce markets, award-winning wineries, fabulous cuisine, art galleries, hiking & biking trails and rich cultural traditions. Less than a 15 minute drive to the world family Sandbanks Beach, Dunes Beach and Outlet Beach.
There is parking in the drive way and ample, free parking on the street. Well behaved pets may be considered, with permission from the rental management agency. This is a non-smoking property.
